This course comprises matters related to computer application in structural engineering, including the types of computer software with their basic theory, how to operate the software and completed with case examples.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe the types of computer software in structural engineering and their applications, design general steel and concrete structures using general finite element software, design steel, and concrete building structures using Computer Software for Building Structure Design, and Design truss bridge using Computer Software for Civil Structure Design.
