Ir. Meilani S.T., M.T., faculty member of Civil Engineering at BINUS University, participated in ICEED #9 on 27–28 August 2025 with two impactful research presentations. The first paper, entitled “Influence of Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate with Glass Waste and Palm Sugar Addition on the Concrete Compressive Strength,” investigates the potential of utilizing glass waste as a partial substitute for fine aggregate in concrete, combined with palm sugar as an additive. The study highlights the sustainable use of alternative materials in concrete production while assessing their influence on mechanical performance, particularly compressive strength.

She also presented a paper titled “The Effect of Using Organic Waste Material as a Cement Substitute on the Compressive Strength and Permeability of Pervious Concrete.” This research explores the innovative use of organic waste as a supplementary cementitious material, evaluating its effects on both strength development and permeability characteristics of pervious concrete. The findings contribute to advancing eco-friendly construction practices, aligning with global efforts to promote sustainable materials in civil engineering applications.
