Lake Tempe is facing critical sedimentation at a rate of 20–40 cm/year, threatening water storage capacity and increasing flood risk. This research applies Linear Programming (Simplex Method) to optimize the combination of heavy equipment for lake dredging — balancing cost, productivity, working time, and equipment capacity across 10 simulated scenarios. The most optimal solution: Kobelco SK200 Excavator + Julong JL CSD Dredger, with a minimum total cost of approximately Rp 9.47 Billion — delivering increased lake capacity, reduced flood risk, and improved water security for the region.
