The Civil Engineering Department of Binus University successfully conducted an industrial site visit to PT Mulia Adhitama Sejati on 11th October 2025, as a key part of its academic enrichment and industry exposure program. This visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore the core processes of steel manufacturing, a fundamental component of the construction and infrastructure industry.
During the visit, students were given a comprehensive tour of the production facilities at PT Mulia Adhitama Sejati, a leading manufacturer of high-quality steel billets. They had the chance to observe firsthand the advanced technologies and rigorous processes involved in smelting and refining, from raw materials to finished products. This experience allowed them to connect the theoretical principles of material science and construction management learned in the classroom with their real-world applications.
Through direct interaction with industry professionals and observing the plant’s operations, students gained practical knowledge about quality control, production efficiency, and the critical role of steel in supporting national infrastructure development. The visit deepened their understanding of how fundamental civil engineering materials are produced and prepared for large-scale construction projects, enriching their academic journey and preparing them for future careers in the industry.
