On July 15, 2025, the Department of Housing and Settlement (DPRKP) of DKI Jakarta Province conducted Workshop 1: Data Collection for Housing Database, held at BINUS Kijang Campus, Jakarta.

This workshop served as an initial step in strengthening the housing and settlement data management system within the province. The activity focused on collecting accurate and up-to-date information related to housing conditions, infrastructure, and settlement profiles, which will later be integrated into the official DPRKP database as a reference for planning and policy-making.

The data collection process in this first workshop specifically covered five kelurahan, namely:

  1. Palmerah
  2. Tanjung Duren Selatan
  3. Kota Bambu Selatan
  4. Mangga Besar
  5. Tomang

Through this activity, participants from each kelurahan were engaged in discussions, technical guidance, and data validation practices. The aim was to ensure consistency and reliability of the housing database, as well as to empower local stakeholders in understanding and utilizing the collected information.

DPRKP emphasized that the workshop is not only a technical exercise, but also a collaborative effort to build a stronger foundation for sustainable housing development in Jakarta. By involving kelurahan representatives, the department seeks to promote transparency, inclusivity, and accuracy in the data that will shape future housing policies.

The outcomes of this workshop are expected to contribute significantly to better urban planning, targeted housing improvements, and more effective allocation of resources across DKI Jakarta Province.
