ICE Technical Meeting 20 July 2023
On Thursday, 20 July 2023, the ICE Technical Meeting talked about the journey of a civil engineer who gained his MICE status as a young water resources engineer in Indonesia and went on to run a larger Water Consulting business in Indonesia before joining the Asian Development Bank and led their work in civil society participation in development. The topic of International Development Advisor presented by Christopher I. Morris, a Professional Civil Engineer from England, who initiated ADB’s work with young people starting ADB’s Youth for Asia initiative championing Meaningful Youth Engagement in the SDGs across the Asia Pacific. Over 35 years based in South East Asia he is now retired living in Jakarta and continues to advise on inclusive development
Besides that, one of our undergraduate students of Binusian 2023, Larasati Annisya Putri has a chance to present her thesis entitled “Analysis of Pedestrian Facilities Level of Service Based on the Class of Railway Stations using PTV Viswalk” at the ICE Technical Webinar. In summary, the level of service of pedestrian facilities is something that many people often don’t pay attention to, even though it is crucial for the safety and comfort of pedestrians at the railway station. Knowing the level of service from the busiest station in Jakarta this year and predicting the level of service of the station in the next 10 years using PTV Viswalk simulation, as well as the solutions offered for station pedestrian facilities based on their class.
