Bituminous Geomembranes
Synopsis
Environmental protection is an essential aspect of all new construction projects. Geomembranes provide an interface barrier for the containment of solid and liquid wastes or to provide storage containments for water
Technical information on the bituminous geomembranes produced by Coletanche will be provided. The presentation will include information on the bituminous geomembrane material properties; installation methods; examples of use for Environmental Protection from various types of solid and liquid mining wastes and examples of use for Hydraulic Containment in dams and canals.
Speakers
Bernard Breul – Technical Director Coletanche – A Civil Engineer of the Swiss Federal Polytechnique School with extensive experience in road construction and a technical authority on water tight containments in Civil Engineering.
Jean-Claude Gerster – Asia Area Manager – Bachelor from the International Business School of Paris X University and also bachelor on Civil Engineering. J.C. Gerster has been working more than 25 years in the field of waterproofing including the 10 past years on geomembrane Coletanche.
The presentation will be for about 45 minutes followed by a stimulating question and answer session.
