PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN BAHAN ALAMI LATEKS (GETAH KARET) TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK CAMPURAN HOT ROLLED SHEET WEARING COURSE (HRS – WC)

 In the construction of facilities and infrastructure today, transport facilities is the main thing, especially land transport the most preferred by the users of transport. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the quality of the road pavement needs both in terms of strength, safety and comfort. This study was to determine the effect of natural materials latex (latex) against HRS-WC mixture characteristics that would be obtained relationships between characteristic of HRS-WC. To then be compared with a mixture of HRS-WC without any added ingredients. At this study asphalt content variation plan used are 5.5%, 6.0%, 6.5% and 7.0%. KAO value used is 5.9%. So from the results of a study of -0.5% bitumen content KAO, KAO and + 0.5% with the addition of latex variation of 0%, 3%, 4%, 5% and 6% KAO value obtained for the latex concentration of 0%, ie 6, 02%, KAO value to 3% latex content is 6.01%, Value KAO to 4% latex content is 5.85%, KAO value for latex concentration of 5% that is 5.9%, KAO value for the content of latex 6% ie 5.675%. And the results showed that the most optimum use of content that is a mixture of bitumen content of 5.9% with the addition of a latex content of 5%.

Dalam pembangunan sarana dan prasarana dewasa ini, fasilitas transportasi adalah hal utama khususnya transportasi darat yang paling banyak diminati oleh pengguna transportasi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan peningkatan kualitas kebutuhan perkerasan jalan baik dari segi kekuatan, keamanan dan kenyamanan. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bahan alami lateks (getah karet) terhadap karakteristik campuran HRS–WC yang akan diperoleh hubungan antar karakteristik campuran HRS-WC. Untuk kemudian dibandingkan dengan campuran HRS-WC tanpa bahan tambah apapun. Pada Penelitian ini variasi kadar aspal rencana yang digunakan yaitu 5,5%, 6,0%, 6,5% dan 7,0%. Nilai KAO yang dipakai adalah 5,9%. Maka dari hasil penelitian terhadap  kadar aspal -0,5% KAO, KAO dan +0,5% dengan tambahan variasi lateks  0%, 3%, 4%, 5% dan 6% didapatkan Nilai KAO untuk kadar lateks 0% yaitu 6,02%, Nilai KAO untuk kadar lateks 3% yaitu 6,01%, Nilai KAO untuk kadar lateks 4% yaitu 5,85%, Nilai KAO untuk kadar lateks 5% yaitu 5,9%, Nilai KAO untuk kadar lateks 6% yaitu 5,675%. Dan dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa penggunaan kadar campuran paling optimum yaitu kadar aspal 5,9% dengan tambahan kadar lateks 5%.
